A story of millions of years

 

 Fossils have been found for a long time in history, but in 1856, a discovery changed the world. Before that, many religions told the story of the birth of man in their own way, but this discovery changed all beliefs.  Challenged even Muslims.

 The three Abrahamic religions یہ Judaism, Christianity, and Islam حضرت believe that Adam was the first man to come to this world only a few thousand years ago, while the discovered skull was saying that life has existed in this world for millions of years.  However, all three religions handled the challenge on their own.

 The Christians rejected it by saying that these fossils are false and that God has placed these bones in the world to test our faith.  But for Muslims, the discovery became a thorn in the side that could not be swallowed or swallowed.  However, Muslim scholars also tried their best and said that the method used to determine the age of the skull, ie carbon dating technique, is an unreliable method.

 This was true to some extent, because even the slightest hint of carbon dating can lead to very wrong results.  However, after this discovery, the work of archaeologists accelerated and new fossils began to be discovered.  Let me tell you

 And now the most advanced technologies in use are the accelerated mass spectrometry and the uninium thorium method that directly sampling the pigments of any object to show that it is thousands of years old.

 OK, now there are two big issues facing Muslims, one of which is which of these technologies is wrong?  Let's say the result of carbon dating may be wrong, the result of radio metric may be wrong but will the result of all be wrong?  And the second problem is which structure to call false?  One structure may be fake, ten structures may be fake, hundreds may be fake but so far more than 6000 human skeletons have been found including fossils which are 7.2 million years old.

 At this point, it seemed as if they were stuck in a dead end.

 Eventually, opinion was divided among the great scholars.  Some considered it appropriate to remain silent, and some believed in some parts of evolution and denied some parts, although some scholars were still adamant whether or not, these were just theories and speculations.

 But the problem is, just saying that these are just theories and estimates ... doesn't kill.

 The generation associated with modern education questions, even in 1970 Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, etc. had to run a regular campaign that evolution is a lie, fraud, deception.  And the scholars called it a Jewish and Christian conspiracy.  But the problem is there, let's assume for a minute that it was a Jewish conspiracy, but where do these millions of years old structures fit?

 In the end, the majority of scholars agreed that we should take a break from working on this issue.  Pausing means that there is no need to discuss what is not declared in the Qur'an.  But the scholars' pause did more harm than good, and in 2016 the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research published a paper stating that

 "There is no consensus among Muslim scholars on this issue and it seems that no scholar is qualified to answer it."

 Matters have escalated since this serious silence, and 19% of Muslims now believe that we were born of evolution.

 "Looking at these millions of fossils, do you believe that life has existed on this earth for billions of years?"

 So 86% answered "yes".  Believe it or not, they had no answer.

 And on top of that, the pew research survey in 2013 and later showed that the number of people saying "yes" is increasing, and in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, 26% said "yes".  If ISIS had captured Mosul in 2014, their first step would have been to ban the teaching of biology in schools.

 Now the ban has been imposed but it still has not solved the problem and the question is, where to fit these structures?  You may be wondering what structures Furqan is talking about, so let me tell you about some famous fossils.

 In 1974, a skeleton was found in Ethiopia that resembled a bi-pedal.  Let me also show you, today the world knows this structure by the name of lucy (the movie lucy has a reference to the same structure).

 However, its age was determined in different ways and it was found that this structure is 3.2 million years old.  He also had an animal tooth stuck in his lumbar spine, and the University of Texas reported that Lucy had fallen from a tree and died and was later eaten by an animal.  See her picture on this link!

 So what to do now?  You can't close your eyes and say everything wrong.

 Consider that this theory is equivalent to the struggle for existence theory of modern evolution.  And in my previous thread, Noah's thread, I have given in detail the example of evolution within the canidae family in the last 500 years.

 Then there is another example of our language. If we look at 300 year old Urdu today, I do not think that we will understand it. With the passage of time, Urdu language has also evolved. These are examples of micro evolution.

 But these structures have led us to fight the theory of evolution, according to which man evolved from an ape, and the evidence has shown most of our scholars the comfort of "pausing".

 But to make this fight even more interesting, I am raising the challenge in the thread which is the most difficult, namely the discovery of Germany in 1856!

 And that was the structure of a neanderthal generation that preceded man, who appeared in this world four and a half million years ago and lived until 40,000 years ago.  This is the most famous race ever, and whenever a Stone Age people were to be shown in a movie in the form of the same neanderthals, a savage and wild creature, I show you the picture.

 Adam was given a gift from Allah Almighty at birth, language, ability to speak, he was taught the names of all things, he was given the power to speak.  And don't worry, at the end of this thread I'm going to tell you some amazing things.  But just think, in four and a half million years neanderthals could not even learn to say a "nun" but the children of Adam?

 Secondly, the height of a neanderthal is not more than five and a half feet, their males were five and a half feet and females five feet and according to the hadith of Bukhari, Adam's height was sixty cubits, did you ever think that the Holy Prophet  When I mentioned Adam's description, why did I mention his height first?  So that no one can confuse them with anyone else.

 Then in neanderthals 80% of people die before the age of 40. In fact, one of the biggest reasons for this was the animals of that era whose neanderthals had to fight them to live in caves.  In 2016, an in-depth study of 124 structures revealed that 74% of them died from animal attacks, with most of the deaths being from caves, bears, lions and wolves.

 And now read verse 10 of Surah A'raf where it is written immediately after the birth of Adam

 "We have given you a place to live on the earth, and We have given you provision in it."

 Adam was indeed given a place in this earth, before him all these animals also became extinct and the world became habitable for the children of Adam.

 The third thing to consider is where the Neanderthals lived, the country of Eurasia where the days are shorter and the nights are longer.  Also, it was an ice age, with more than half of the world's icy weather and the last glacial period ending somewhere after the Neanderthals disappeared.  So why didn't they migrate to warmer areas?  From this point we get to learn very important things.

 First, they preferred daylight and night darkness, and second, they had two very interesting proteins in their genes.  Their names are exoc-6 and asb-1 and these two genes are clear evidence that they slept during the day and woke up at night.

 And what does the Qur'an say about the children of Adam?  Read verse 86 of Surah An-Naml

 "Do they not see that We have made the night for them to rest in?"

 Now this may be new to you but the human body has a biochemical process called circadian cycle and surprisingly it syncs with the solar time.  In the simplest terms, the sleep of human beings at night is natural whether they like it or not and the story with neanderthals was just the opposite.

 He used to sleep during the day and wake up at night and if you read this verse in full it is further written that there are great signs for people in it.

 Ok, let's face it, Neanderthals were ambush hunters, meaning they secretly hunted twelve lions and deer, and their usual food was ibex deer, wild boar, hairy rhino and mammoth elephant.

 So now there is a great natural confusion that this is human behavior, ambush and hunting in groups but just think how many animals in the world at the moment who hunt ambush.  The Bengal Tiger is the greatest example of this and you all know about wolves and wild dogs hunting in the form of herds so this attitude is not much different from that of animals.

 The neanderthals then had very large nostrils and the structure of their knees indicates that they could run 35 to 40 miles, but when they did not find prey they ate each other, such as those found in caves in Croatia, Spain and Belgium.  Structures show that a Neanderthal leg bone was broken and pulp was extracted from it.

 On the ribs of a skeleton found in France are the marks of another Neanderthal tooth, that is, one Neanderthal ate another  There were three structures for children.

 Now read verse 70 of Surah Isra about the children of Adam

 Surely We gave to the children of Adam much honor, gave them rides on land and sea, provided them with good things, provided them with dry and wet rides, provided them with good things and gave them superiority over many of His creatures.  He said

 Have you considered this verse?  The creatures that run for 40 miles are compared to the Neanderthals. The children of Adam were given dry and wet rides.  The first food they ate was wheat and just consider the last part of the verse that many creatures are superior to the children of Adam and these creatures certainly include Neanderthals.

 However, keep in mind one more thing that many creatures have got superiority, not all creatures have the word, and the topic of these other creatures is inshaAllah in his book.

 Now at this point you should be clear that neanderthals were a separate creature that we cannot call human beings, they were just creatures with a natural tendency to eat, drink, sleep and breed and worry.  No, I will give you the proof

 Read verse 184 of Surah Ash-Shu'ara '!  I have its translation written in the Qur'an

 "Fear Him Who created you and those before you."

 The Arabic reading of this "first people" is "Jabal-ul-Awalin" and I ask you what is called Jablat?  You all must have read in Urdu class "Instinctive requirements of man".

 Guys call instinct a very basic form of life, that is, a creature that needs only food, drink, sleep, and reproduction.  And this creature called Nender Thal seems to fit perfectly on the concept of Jabal-ul-Awalin.

 Now beyond this point I want to discuss a challenging topic and hopefully it will be discussed because I have already reached four thousand words and that is the topic of cave paintings!

 ان پینٹنگز کے حوالے سے سب سے زیادہ عجیب بات جو مجھے پڑھنے کو ملی وہ آرکیالوجی کی ایک کتاب a chauvet primer میں لکھی ہے کہ ’’زیادہ تر پینٹنگز کو پچھلے کئی ہزار سالوں میں موڈیفائی کیا گیا ہے‘‘ یعنی کسی نے انہیں درست کیا ہے ، انسان سے پہلے کسی نے انہیں ٹھیک کیا ہے ، کسی female کے ہاتھوں نے ، لیکن کس نے کیا ہے ؟ یہ بات کوئی نہیں جانتا ۔

 اور ٹیکنیکلی خاموشی کا یہ دور ایوولوشن میں بھی غیر رسمی زبان میں missing link کے نام سے جانا جاتا ہے ۔ یعنی یوں محسوس ہوتا ہے کہ جیسے ایوولوشن کی بھی کڑی وقتی طور پر یہاں کچھ عرصے کے لیے ٹوٹ گئی تھی ۔ اس دوران اس زمین پر کونسی مخلوق رہ رہی تھی ؟ سورۃ مدثر کی آیت 31 پڑھ لیں !

 ’’آپ کے رب کے لشکروں کو سوائے اس کے ، اور کوئی بھی نہیں جانتا‘‘

 بہرحال ، نینڈرتھلز کے چار لاکھ سالہ دور کے بعد ایک طرح کے چند خاموش ہزاروں سال گزرے ہیں اور ان کے بعد اس دنیا میں ایک ایسا واقعہ ہوا جس نے ہمیشہ کے لیے اس کی شکل بدل دی ۔

 اور وہ تھا آدمؑ کا اس دنیا میں اتارے جانا ! اوکے ، اب یہاں سے آگے آپ نے غور سے پڑھنا ہے ، آدمؑ و حواؑ کا اس دنیا پر نزول کے بعد ان کے ایک پوتے ادریسؑ تھے جنہوں نے آدمؑ کی زندگی کے 308 سال دیکھے اور آدمؑ کے ان پوتے کے بارے میں آپ کا جاننا بہت ضروری ہے ۔ 

 معاویہ بن حکمؓ  نے ایک دفعہ نبی کریم ﷺ سے خط رمل یعنی ریت اور مٹی میں لکھنے کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ بیشک ایک پیغمبر ایسے گزرے ہیں جنہوں نے یہ لکھا اور ابن اسحاق کہتے ہیں کہ وہ پیغمبر ادریسؑ تھے ۔ اب میرا آپ سے سوال ہے کہ ریت اور مٹی میں لکھنے کی بات سن کر آپ کے ذہن میں کیا چیز آتی ہے ؟

 ذرا انہیں دیکھیں ! یہ ہے ریت اور مٹی کی وہ لکھائی جن کے بارے میں معاویۃ بن حکمؓ نے نبی ﷺ سے پوچھا اور جنہیں آج ہم clay tablets کہتے ہیں ۔

 ان میں ستارہ ، مہینہ ، آدمی ، بادشاہ ، فصل ، بیل ، مقدر ، مچھلی ، نینوا ، رات اور خدا جیسے الفاظ لکھے ہیں جو نینڈرتھل کے برعکس ایک بہت systemetic معاشرہ دکھاتے ہیں ۔ ان الفاظ سے پتہ چلتا ہے کہ ذراعت ، انسان کے سٹیٹس ، وقت ، معبود ، جانوروں کھانا پینا وغیرہ جیسے کانسیپٹس بہت اچھی طرح سے اسٹیبلش ہو چکے تھے ۔

 جبکہ ان تختیوں سے صرف اور صرف چند ہزار سال پہلے نینڈرتھلز ’’نون‘‘ کی آواز بھی نہیں نکال پا رہے تھے جو اس بات کا سب سے بڑا ثبوت ہے کہ یقیناً 

 خاموش سالوں کے درمیان کچھ نہ کچھ تو بہت بڑے سکیل پر ہوا تھا ۔

 اور وہ تھا آدمؑ کو تمام نام سکھا کر اس دنیا میں اتارے جانا ۔

 لیکن بات یہاں ختم نہیں ہوتی ، میں آپ کو صرف چند الفاظ کے معنی دکھا رہا ہوں حالانکہ 6000 تختیوں میں تو صرف قانون کی باتیں لکھی ہیں ، اور باقی تختیوں میں گرد و نواح کے علاقوں سے تعلقات ، کچھ آسمانی دعائیں ، ادویات کا استعمال ، کچھ ستاروں اور سیاروں کی باتیں ، کچھ نظمیں اور کہانیاں ، کائینات کی تخلیق کی باتیں اور ایک تختی پر تو adapa کا نام بھی لکھا ہوا تھا جو تختیوں کے مطابق پہلے انسان تھے اور یہ ریفرینس صرف اور صرف آدمؑ کی طرف ہو سکتا ہے ۔ اس کے علاوہ ایک پوری تختی پر نوحؑ کے عظیم سیلاب کا سارا واقعہ لکھا ہوا تھا میں آپ کو سیلاب کے واقعے والی ٹیبلٹ دکھا دیتا ہوں ۔

 سمرۃ کی تختیوں میں سے ایک بڑی دلچسپ کہانی بھی میں آپ کے سامنے رکھنا چاہتا ہوں ذرا غور سے پڑھیں

 ’’ایک آدمی تھا ، جو نِپور کا شہری تھا ، وہ بہت غریب تھا ، اس کا نام gimil تھا ، وہ بہت اداس رہتا تھا ، وہ اپنے شہر نپور میں محنت کرتا تھا لیکن نہ اس کے پاس چاندی تھی نہ اس کے پاس سونا تھا ، اس کے گھر میں گندم بھی نہیں تھی ، اس کا دل بہت جلتا تھا ، اس کے چہرے سے اداسی نظر آتی تھی ، اس کے کپڑے بھی نہیں گندے تھے ، ایک دن اس نے سوچا ۔۔۔‘‘ 

 اور پھر ایسے کہانی آگے چلتی ہے لیکن its amazing guys

 ذرا امیجن کریں کہ یہ کہانی کسی نے آدمؑ کی صرف چند پشتیں گزرنے کے بعد مٹی کی تختیوں پر لکھی تھی ، حتیٰ کہ آج کے زمانے میں بھی ہم ایسی ہی کہانیاں اپنے بچوں کو سناتے ہیں ۔

 بہرحال ادریسؑ ، آدمؑ کی زندگی ہی میں موجود تھے اور انہوں نے ہی سب سے پہلے ستاروں کی movements کو آبزرو کیا ، انہوں نے ہی سائینٹیفیک وزن اور پیمانے بنائے ، انہوں نے ہی سب سے پہلے قلم کا استعمال شروع کیا ، قرآن پاک میں ان کا نام دو مرتبہ آیا ہے اور ایک جگہ تو یہ بھی لکھا ہوا ہے کہ ہم نے انہیں ایک اونچی جگہ پر اٹھا لیا ، جو بذات خود ایک بہت دلچسپ اور حیران کن تفصیل ہے لیکن ان شاء اللہ ادریسؑ کے بارے میں مزید تفصیل اپنی کتاب میں ڈسکس کروں گا ۔ 

 ادریسؑ کے صرف چند ہزار سال بعد ہی سمرۃ کی تہذیب سامنے آئی اور ادریسؑ ہی کی دی ہوئی تعلیمات کے تحت انہوں نے 60 منٹ اور 60 سیکنڈز والے وقت کے پیمانے بنائے اور بیسکلی ادریسؑ ہی کے نام سے عربی لفظ ’’درس‘‘ بھی ہے یعنی ’’تعلیم دینا‘‘ ۔ طبری کے مطابق اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے انہیں ملا تحفہ ’’عقل اور علم‘‘ تھا ، ذرا تصور کریں کہ وہ کیا عظیم علم ہو گا ۔ 

 آخر میں جاتے جاتے میں آپ کو گیارہویں صدی میں لکھی ایک کتاب ’’الخزاری‘‘ میں سے ایک واقعہ سناتا ہوں جو سپین کے ایک یہودی عالم yahuda halavi نے بڑی ایمانداری سے لکھا کہ ایک دفعہ خزاریوں کے بادشاہ (ترکی اور عراق میں ایک جگہ) نے اپنے دربار میں موجود یہودی ، عیسائی اور مسلمان علماء سے ایک سوال پوچھا کہ سچا مذہب کونسا ہے ؟ مجھ تک خبر پہنچی ہے کہ انڈیا میں رہنے والے یہ دعویٰ کرتے ہیں کہ ان کے پاس لاکھوں سال پرانی عمارتیں ہیں ۔

 اس پر یہودی عالم نے کہا کہ انڈیا میں چونکہ کوئی مستقل مذہب نہیں ہے اس لیے آپ ان کی باتوں کو سنجیدہ نہ لیں ، ایسے ہی عیسائی عالم نے بھی انڈین مذاہب کو dissolute قرار دے دیا ، لیکن مسلمان عالم نے کہا کہ اس سے میرے عقیدے میں کوئی فرق نہیں پڑتا کیوں کہ آدم اور نوح پہلے انسان ہیں ۔

 اور میں حیران ہوں کہ یہ کس قدر سمپل مگر سچا جواب ہے ۔ یہ دنیا نہ ہی ہماری تھی ، اور نہ ہی ہماری رہے گی ، اس میں کوئی شک نہیں کہ ہم سے پہلے بھی ادھر مخلوقات آباد تھیں اور اس میں بھی کوئی شک نہیں کہ آدمؑ کو اس دنیا میں کہیں اور ہی سے بھیجا گیا تھا ۔ اس کا سب سے بڑا ثبوت ؟

 خود سوچیں ہم سے پہلے لاکھوں سال تک رہی مخلوقات ’’نون‘‘کی آواز بھی نہ نکال سکیں اور پھر صرف چند سالوں میں اس دنیا میں ایک ایسی مخلوق آئی جسے اس کے رب نے تمام نام سکھا کر بھیجا تھا اور جس نے آتے ہی اس تصویر میں نظر آنے والی پیچیدہ ترین چیزیں لکھ دیں ؟

 ’’اگر وہ چاہے ، تو تم سب کو فناء کر دے ، اور تمہاری جگہ ایک نئی مخلوق لے آئے ، اور یہ کام اس کے لیے کچھ مشکل نہیں ہے‘‘
